Bock-Harvey Forest Preserve
This somewhat unknown spot has a great, easy route through mature forests, fields with views, and greenery.

The parking area for this hike is on the shoulder of Porter Hill Rd. in Enfield. The GPS coordinates are 42.40485, -76.62838.
From the trailhead on Porter Hill Road (1410’), follow the white-blazed Finger Lakes Trail/North Country Trail eastbound. You will pass through a small field as well as a beautiful green forest.
At 0.2 miles from the trailhead, the trail intersects with the blue-blazed spur trail (1360’). Turn left and follow the blue blazes. The Locust lean-to will soon be on the left, and the blue trail then crosses a field with good views to the east.
At 0.4 miles, the blue trail ends. Turn right and follow the yellow-blazed trail. Then, turn left for the old-growth forest loop. Continue to follow the yellow blazes.
At 0.7 miles, the yellow trail intersects with the FLT/NCT (1280’). Turn right and follow the white blazes back to the Porter Hill Road trailhead. The total distance for this loop is 1.2 miles.
