Hikes in Chenango County
If you look at a satellite map of Chenango County, you will notice that the western half of the county is almost completely forested. Chenango County contains one of the highest concentration of state land outside of the NY Forest Preserve which sets it apart from other places in Central New York. This also means the hiking here is excellent. It boasts one of the most consistently scenic sections of the Finger Lakes Trail and has many unique natural features, such as swamps and pristine ponds.
